After three failed attempts as a fictional novel in 1985, 1991, and 2004, I realized with the approach of the 50th anniversary of Title IX in 2022, it was time to tell my story. “Go To Girl: Digs, Dives and a Golden Spike” is my story about being one of the first recruited female athletes to earn a volleyball scholarship at Stanford, balancing my dreams of becoming an Olympic volleyball player and a doctor to cure my Mama Jo’s mysterious illness.
